Yes, Sofia still here. How did you do on my quiz last week? Well, this is my last week with you for awhile. Lady M has returned and will be taking over again. No doubt she will be telling you all about her wonderful holiday and why she was too busy to talk to you. Donald and I were watching her!
The good news for you peeps is that January and February are over. The first two months, often considered the worst two of the year, are behind you. It is March and for the northern hemisphere Spring is in the air. March is a month associated with Easter and eggs, chocolate, daffodils, lambs, rabbits, new life and "madness"! There's a phrase "as mad as a March hare," immortalised by Lewis Carroll in Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland. It is thought that the phrase derived from observations during the March breeding season of the European hare. Then, the theory developed that the Spring breeding season led to a general kind of "madness" in other species. Could it be to do with lighter nights, the end of drab Winter and warmer weather? Is there an equivalent "October madness" in the southern hemisphere?
So, I am going to leave you with this thought and I hope it will put a smile on your face, "Do you suffer from "March madness"?
Until the next time, have fun.
Love you all, Sofia xxx
