Goodbye 2017!

Howde folks,

We are here and looking forward to New Year's Eve. We hope you all enjoyed Christmas last week. We thought the best way to end the year was to pop down memory lane for our beloved Lady M. What has she done this year? What are her 'magical moments'? It's rather sad but we can't find too many. We know she had one or two set backs but she always bounces back. We think her proudest moment was launching her eighth book,  Life is...  a selection of her own quotes on what life is about and how to experience it. (Available on Kindle!)

"What's your favourite quote, Sofia?"
"Life is like fish and chips, tasteless without salt and vinegar."
"Yes, that was a good one but I liked the one about the carousel, going round and round until you were dizzy."
"You would, Donald. Anyway let's get back to the final blog of the year."

Early in the year she spent sometime in Paphos and took part in the Green Monday kite flying contest. She really enjoyed singing "Let's go fly a kite..." Hence the pic!

Then there was her day trip to the Wolverhampton Art Gallery where she fell in love with that beautiful Victorian dress (in pic). She travelled to Wolverhampton on the tram thus enjoying her new hobby... tram riding because she can ride for free. She had a few other day trips; there was Haden Hill, Avoncroft Museum, Grand Central, Nottingham, Cheshire.

Of course, there were her usual weekly trips out for afternoon tea at the library where she found a new reason to borrow books. No longer do you borrow them to read them but just to keep the library open. Also, her weekly visits to the cinema for the Silver Screen films; again she goes for the cheap ticket, coffee and biscuits. She seems to spend a lot of time playing games and watching television.

"That's because she's getting on Sofia... dragging sixty and pushing seventy."
"I know Donald, but don't let her hear you say that!"

The only other thing I can think of is her singing horses. She loves working with them and expects their story to be a best seller, better than us!

Anyway, Donald and I hope that when you reminisce back through 2017 you have many magic moments and happy memories. Have a great New Year's Eve. We'll be back next week.

Love you all, Sofia and Donald xxxx
